This week’ question is: Required Reading: Which books from your school days do youremember reading & enjoying? Is there a book published now that you’d liketo see in today’s curriculum for kids?

As always Ginger asked a very goodquestion.

Now I am way too young not to remember all of the books that I’ve read inschool. So we’ll just go with the fact that I read so much in school it’s hardto remember which books I was supposed to be and which ones I wasn’t.

I will say that enjoyed Make Lemonade by Virginia Wolff, it was a good bookabout working with all of the things that life throws at you.

By far my favorite book from school was The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. My guidance councilortold me that it was a good book, and when I went to Barnes and Noble I saw thatit was on sale so I brought it. Then my English teacher (Honor’s English, I’m really pride of that fact) told me we weregoing to read it in class I waited to for them to start the book. But a weekinto the book I finished it without them, they took too long and the book wasready good.

When the movie came out I brought it and it was so good.

I think this is one book that all schools should make a part of their curriculum.I can’t think of any other books that should really be a part of school’scurriculum.

Library: When looking at a book in the library I look at the title and it soundsgood I’ll look at the synopsis and from there if I’m interested I’ll get it. Throughhonestly it’s very rare that I search the library for books. What I usually dois order the books I want to borrow at home on the internet and pick the booksup when they’re ready. I think I’ve only looked for books in the library maybea total of four times.

Goodreads & Bookstores: I'm always on Goodreads (I'm addicted) and I live in Barnes & Noble. The story is always the same no matter what platform I used to get booksthe cover and title are the first thing that grabs my attention. From there I readthe synopsis, if it sounds good. I put in on my list then I order it from thelibrary. I hate to waste money on a book that I won’t read again so thank thepowers that be for the library. If I like a book after borrowing it from thelibrary I’ll go out and buy it.

It’s hard to judge how good a book is based on other people’s reviews andhow they rate it. Before I checked other reviews but now I try to stay awayfrom them. There are a lot of reasons for this, not most but sometimes peopleonly say they liked a book because they got an ARC, other times people don’tlike books for stupid reasons, and the most important reason I don’t checkother reviews is because we all have different tastes.

Another reason I read certain books is because someone I know and trustbook wise will tell me about a book. I’ll find out what it’s about and read it.

And she’s drinking copious amounts of caffeine to stay awakebecause, every time she closes her eyes, she sees him: Reyes Farrow, theparthuman, part-supermodel son of Satan. Yes, she did imprison him for alleternity, but come on. How is she supposed to solve a missing persons case,deal with an ego-driven doctor, calm her curmudgeonly dad, and take on amotorcycle gang hellbent on murder when the devil’s son just won’t give up?

Charley.Charley. Charley.

Honestlyone of my favorite female book characters, I mean what’s not to love she smart,sassy, funny, kick-ass, and totally ridiculous, I can’t get enough of her.Charley is back and there is no stopping her. Life for her is a bit differentthese days, being a grim reaper and a private investigator isn’t as easy as itused to be, due to the fact that Charley isn’t sleeping. Charley is drinking acrazy amount coffee so she can stay awake because every time she closes hereyes Reyes Farrow, her part-human, all gorgeous son of Satan haunts her everysleeping moment, and he’s none too happy about being there. Though to be fairCharley did trap him in corporal body and send him back to prison so I canunderstand him a bit pissed at her.

Ms.Jones has done it again.

Whatcan I say about this except READ IT. Seriously I love this series and this bookdidn’t disappoint at all. Though I was kind of hoping that it never ended. Charleywas on the hunt for the man Reyes went to jail for “killing”. Is he alive? Ishe dead? No one knows, yet somebody know. I know but will I tell you? Not achance. On top of that Charley has to deal with that fact that her dad wants herfind a new jail and he won’t let the subject go.

Thisbook made me laugh out loud too many times to count, it was really well written andso good. I can’t tell you that enough. I feel like the series keeps gettingbetter with each book. There was one part I could have lived without but I won’tgive anything anyway.

Irecommend this series to everyone, you can’t go wrong this one.

I love books, I only have books in my house that I will read again, ifmakes no sense for me to spend money on something that I will use one time andforget about. I’m always in the bookstores.

Now the library. I do go to library, more than anyone I know. If I see abook by someone I’ve never read before or a book that sounds good but I don’treally know if I want it, I’ll get it from the library. Also If I have a bookseries in paperback and the newest book comes out in hardcover I will borrow itfrom the library then buy the paperback when it comes out, so it can match myset.
