Grim reaper extraordinaire. Whatever. Charley Davidson is back! And she’s drinking copious amounts of caffeine to stay awake because, every time she closes her eyes, she sees him: Reyes Farrow, the parthuman, part-supermodel son of Satan. Yes, she did imprison him for all eternity, but come on. How is she supposed to solve a missing persons case, deal with an ego-driven doctor, calm her curmudgeonly dad, and take on a motorcycle gang hellbent on murder when the devil’s son just won’t give up?

Charley. Charley. Charley.

Honestly one of my favorite female book characters, I mean what’s not to love she smart, sassy, funny, kick-ass, and totally ridiculous, I can’t get enough of her. Charley is back and there is no stopping her. Life for her is a bit different these days, being a grim reaper and a private investigator isn’t as easy as it used to be, due to the fact that Charley isn’t sleeping. Charley is drinking a crazy amount coffee so she can stay awake because every time she closes her eyes Reyes Farrow, her part-human, all gorgeous son of Satan haunts her every sleeping moment, and he’s none too happy about being there. Though to be fair Charley did trap him in corporal body and send him back to prison so I can understand him a bit pissed at her.

Ms. Jones has done it again.

What can I say about this except READ IT. Seriously I love this series and this book didn’t disappoint at all. Though I was kind of hoping that it never ended. Charley was on the hunt for the man Reyes went to jail for “killing”. Is he alive? Is he dead? No one knows, yet somebody know. I know but will I tell you? Not a chance. On top of that Charley has to deal with that fact that her dad wants her find a new jail and he won’t let the subject go.

This book made me laugh out loud too many times to count, it was really well written and so good. I can’t tell you that enough. I feel like the series keeps getting better with each book. There was one part I could have lived without but I won’t give anything anyway.

I recommend this series to everyone, you can’t go wrong this one.

{Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book from the Darynda Jones and Loren Jaggers of St. Martin's Press for an honest review. All opinions here are my own.}
