Relentless

Anna Wells

Marsh Brothers #1

 282 Pages

Publisher: Anna Wells Publishing

Release Date: March 25, 2014

Overall Rating: 4/5

"Let’s get this straight, I've wanted you since the first time I saw you. I've been waiting for you to get over your breakup with Noah. It wasn't accidental sex, Michaela."

Michaela Prentice and Jordan Marsh's friendship began in the worst of circumstances after she discovered his girlfriend in bed with her fiancé. It had seemed only natural to spend time together as they got over their mutual breakups, but she soon realized Jordan wanted more than friendship.

Jordan Marsh knew the minute he met Michaela that he had to have her. Unfortunately she was already taken, but he wasn’t about to let her get away. When Jordan sets a goal he’s relentless until he gets what he wants, and what he wants is Michaela.

As they make the transition from friends to lovers, Jordan exposes a sensual side to his nature that Michaela didn't know existed and can't seem to resist. However, Michaela quickly learns that Jordan isn’t the friend or lover she thought she knew. His world is filled with secrets and she soon finds herself caught up in his deceptions. Is she facing another betrayal?

Warning: This book is funny, steamy and contains sex scenes with chocolate that some readers might find delicious.

It was a good book. Some parts I really liked, but the whole moving extremely fast even though they were best friends was a bit crazy especially at how controlling Jordan was, but his brothers are def very sexy! I love how close him and his brothers are, and even though he can be controlling with Michaela, he is very protective of her when things start to go bad. I like that he kept his secrets from her in order for her to get to know him without the secret that he carries. I think Michaela over analyzes things WAY to much!

Sweet Ruin
Nazarea Andrews
University of Branton book 3
Contemporary Romance
Paperback, 252 pages
Publisher: A&A Literary
Publish Date: March 13th 2014
Overall Rating: 4/5

About the book:
It’s good to be on top… Asher Knox has it all. Girls, wealth, a career most would kill for. He’s just landed the biggest job of his career. And he’s miserable.
She’s fighting her way from the bottom… Megan Beauchamp has no illusions about why she was chosen to be Asher’s PA. She’s pretty, and down to earth, and everything the Hollywood star always falls for. Too bad Megan is just paying her dues and has no interest in anything but advancing at her PR firm.
He’ll throw it all away…Luca James knows what he wants. And he’s waited a long time for the window to open—when it does, he’ll walk away from the career he’s built for a chance at something real.
When Megan’s boss threatens to fire her, Luca and Asher convince her to leave town with them. Between bad hotels and pit stop confessionals, the three are drawn closer together. And the lines blur even more in Branton, where Megan is forced to look at everything she left behind. But when the boys want more, Megan will be forced to choose between the men she loves and the life she thought she wanted. And in a town like Branton, the secrets she keeps won’t be hidden for long.

Warning: for mature audiences. Two sexy men + one sassy heroine = hot sex.

Megan works for superstar Asher Knox, her best friend and ex-roommate is model and future superstar Luca James. They both want her and she wants them both. When they take a little road first to Vegas and then to Branton where Megan is from things start to heat up.
Megan was a character who was fighting herself, she was trying so hard to prove she was better than what people from her hometown thought she was. Megan was fighting from becoming her sister but she what she didn’t see was that, she wasn’t anything like her sister.
Asher, superstar who isn’t really a fan of all of the attention he gets, sometimes Asher just likes being alone. He also really likes Megan. And suddenly after meeting and talking to Luca, Asher finds himself liking Luca as well.
Luca is running from the demons from his past but it seems like he found himself in the same situation as before. He wants both Megan and Asher, and he will find a way to get and keep them.
This book was sexy, heartfelt, and dealt with a situation that most don’t find themselves in. It was well written and flowed without getting boring. It was a quick read that held my attention the entire time. Though this is book three in the Branton University series it can read as a standalone, you get the main points of the first two books without being overwhelmed. It had the right mixture of sexiness, romance, and an intriguing story. Do yourself a favor and get yourself this book.

Nazarea Andrews Bio:
Nazarea Andrews is an avid reader and tends to write the stories she wants to read. She loves chocolate and coffee almost as much as she loves books, but not quite as much as she loves her kids. She lives in south Georgia with her husband, daughters, and overgrown dog.

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along by doing the following. Grab your current read open to a random page and share two “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page.

Please no spoilers (make sure what you shared doesn’t give away too much! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) Share the title & author, so that other TT participants can add to their TBR list of they like your teaser!

Today’s teasers are from the books The Undead Pool book 12 in the Hollows series by Kim Harrison and The Forever Song book 3 in the Blood of Eden series by Julie Kagawa

“I can’t believe I’m saying this, but you’re perfect for each other! You irritate people, and he smooths things out. You have good mojo, and he only thinks he does. You’re broke and he’s rich. You’ve got those weird feet of yours, and he’s got them cute ears.”

The Undead Pool. 50% on kindle –Shanese’s pick.

"In fact I think some lazy fucks who won't be named need to learn the basics of changing a tire."
"Shouldn't be hard, we'll just fill it using the hot air shooting out of your mouth."

The Forever Song.  –Betsy’s pick.
