T.G.I.F (41)
TGIF is a fun little feature
hosted by Ginger @ GReads! Every week we re-cap what has happened on the blog plus
Ginger asks a question for us to answer. This week’ question is: Christmas in July: If Santa were to come down your chimney in the middle of
summer, which books would you want him to leave for you under the tree?
As always Ginger asked a very good
question.
Love this question.
I don’t have a chimney but I was definitely leave the window open for
him. In my mind since he is Santa he would be able to get my books that haven’t
been releases yet. So here is what he would bring me.
Crimson Frost (Mythos
Academy #4) by Jennifer Estep
For a moment, a face flashed before my eyes — the most hideous face I’d
ever seen. No matter how hard I tried to forget what had happened, I saw him
everywhere I went. It was Loki — the evil god that I’d helped set free against
my will.
I should have known that my first official date with Logan Quinn was destined to end in disaster. If we’d gotten into a swordfight, or been ambushed by Reapers, I’d have been more prepared. But getting arrested mid-sip at the local coffee hangout? I didn’t see that one coming. I’ve been accused of purposely helping the Reapers free Loki from his prison — and the person leading the charge against me is Linus Quinn, Logan’s dad. The worst part is that pretty much everyone at Mythos Academy thinks I’m guilty. If I’m going to get out of this mess alive, I’ll have to do it myself

Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet (Charley
Davidosn #4) by Darynda Jones
Sometimes being the grim reaper really is that. Grim. And since
Charley’s last case went so awry, she has taken a couple months off to wallow
in the wonders of self-pity. But when a woman shows up on her doorstep
convinced someone is trying to kill her, Charley has to force herself to rise
above. Or at least get dressed. She quickly realizes something is amiss when
everyone the woman knows swears she’s insane. The more they refute the woman’s
story, the more Charley believes it.
In the meantime, the sexy, sultry son of Satan, Reyes Farrow, has been cleared of all charges. He is out of prison and out of Charley’s life, as per her wishes and several perfectly timed death threats. But his absence has put a serious crimp in her sex life. While there are other things to consider, like the fact that the city of Albuquerque has been taken hostage by an arsonist, Charley is having a difficult time staying away. Especially when it looks like Reyes may be involved. Just when life was returning to normal, Charley is thrust back into the world of crime, punishment, and the devil in blue jeans.

Timekeeper (Timeless
#2) by Alexandra Monir
When Philip Walker appears as a new student in Michele Windsor's high
school class, she is floored. He is the love she thought she lost forever when
they said goodbye during her time travels last century. Overjoyed that they can
resume the relationship they had a lifetime ago, Michele eagerly approaches him
and discovers the unthinkable: he doesn't remember her. In fact, he doesn't
seem to remember anything about the Philip Walker of 1910.
Michele then finds her father's journals, which tell stories of his time-traveling past. As she digs deeper, she learns about his entanglement with a mysterious and powerful organization called the Time Society and his dealings with a vengeful Windsor ancestor. Michele soon finds herself at the center of a rift over 120 years in the making, one whose resolution will have life-or-death consequences.

Sweet Hope (Sweet
Evil #2) by Wendy Higgins
Anna Whitt promised herself
she’d never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She’d been naive to make
such a claim. She’d been naive about a lot of things.
Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means earning an unwanted reputation as her school’s party girl. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, plaguing her heart and mind.
When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win, will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues that have formed between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?
