In My Mailbox is something was
that started over at The
Story Siren and I think it’s
pretty awesome. It’s a way to showcase the books that you gotten through
different places. Books you gotten in the mail, brought from a store, borrowed
from the library, received to write a review, or they can be
in eBook form. Here's a link to see how it all started.

Dark Frost (Mythos Academy #3) by Jennifer Estep
I’ve seen so many freaky things since I started attending Mythos Academy
last fall. I know I’m supposed to be a fearless warrior, but most of the time,
I feel like I’m just waiting for the next Bad, Bad Thing to happen. Like
someone trying to kill me—again.
Everyone at Mythos Academy knows me as Gwen Frost, the Gypsy girl who uses her psychometry magic to find lost objects—and who just may be dating Logan Quinn, the hottest guy in school. But I’m also the girl the Reapers of Chaos want dead in the worst way. The Reapers are the baddest of the bad, the people who murdered my mom. So why do they have it in for me?
It turns out my mom hid a powerful artifact called the Helheim Dagger before she died. Now, the Reapers will do anything to get it back. They think I know where the dagger is hidden, but this is one thing I can’t use my magic to find. All I do know is that the Reapers are coming for me—and I’m in for the fight of my life.

Chasing McCree by J.C. Isabella {ebook}
Briar Thompson had it all. The right clothes, the right friends, the
right car. Being popular was all that mattered. Her parents were rich and
treated like royalty throughout the community. She thought her senior year of
high school was going perfectly, until the night her drink was spiked at a
party by one of her so called friends.
That was the night she met Chase McCree.
Chase wanted to go back to Montana. To the ranch and the wild, wide blue sky that went on forever. He wanted nothing to do with flashy cars or spoiled rich kids. But he found himself head over boots for the quirky cheerleader who turned her back on her social status. She befriended him when no one else would.
Shunned and hurt by the people who were once her friends, Briar flees with Chase to his family ranch in Montana. There she discovers another world, and apart of herself she never knew.
The cowboy wasn’t like anyone she’d ever met. The cheerleader wasn’t like anyone he’d ever met. Apart their lives didn’t seem to make sense, but together, they were chasing forever.

In Honor by Jessi Kirby {ebook}
A devastating loss leads to an unexpected road
trip in this novel from the author of Moonglass, whose voice
Sarah Dessen says “is fresh and wise, all at once.”
Hours after her brother’s military funeral, Honor opens the last letter Finn ever sent. In her grief, she interprets his note as a final request and spontaneously decides to go to California to fulfill it.
Honor gets as far as the driveway before running into Rusty, Finn’s best friend since third grade and his polar opposite. She hasn’t seen Rusty in ages, but it’s obvious he is as arrogant and stubborn as ever—not to mention drop-dead gorgeous. Despite Honor’s better judgment, the two set off together on a voyage from Texas to California. Along the way, they find small and sometimes surprising ways to ease their shared loss and honor Finn’s memory—but when shocking truths are revealed at the end of the road, will either of them be able to cope with the consequences?

Silence (Queen of
the Dead #1) by Michelle Sagara {ebook}
It began in the graveyard. Ever since her
boyfriend Nathan died in a tragic accident Emma had been coming to the
graveyard at night. During the day she went through the motions at her prep
school, in class, with her friends, but that's all it was. But tonight was
different. Tonight Emma and her dog were not alone in the cemetery. There were
two others there—Eric, who had just started at her school, and an ancient woman
who looked as though she were made of rags. And when they saw Emma there, the
old woman reached out to her with a grip as chilling as death…
Teasing Trent (Struck #1) by Minx Malone {Kindle}
TEASING TRENT is a Mini-Minx Short Story
The only thing Trent's best friend has ever asked of him is to keep an eye on his twin sister while he's deployed. Keeping her company on her birthday shouldn't be too hard. He just has to remember the promise he made to himself in college to keep his hands off her.
Ever since Mara walked into her brother's dorm room freshman year and came face to face with a shirtless Trent, she's known he was The One. He's been right there with her twin brother as her biggest supporter or shoulder to cry on, whichever she needs most.
The problem?
Trent has no idea how she feels.
Well, it's her first birthday without her twin and Trent's coming over to keep her company. It's the perfect time to tease him a little. A skimpy yoga outfit and a few glasses of wine later, she plans to finally have Trent exactly where she wants him.
In her bed, for as long as she can keep him there.
If Mara has her way, she'll get a whole lot more for her birthday than a Hallmark card.

I HAVE TO READ THE MYTHOS ACADEMY. I know, how terrible, right? That I haven't started it. But, it's on my TBR for sure this month. So, yes, THERE'S A PLAN. And I'm badly pining for In Honor. I'm in need of a good road trip grief contemporary with a sexy romance (aren't they always?).
ReplyDeleteAnd Silence is so good, btw. I love the writing and characters! :D
