T.G.I.F (37)
TGIF is a fun little feature
hosted by Ginger @ GReads! Every
week we re-cap what has happened on the blog plus Ginger asks a question for us
to answer. This week’ question is: Authors Are Our
Celebrities: Have you ever
contacted an author you admired? How did that experience go? If not, which
author would you love to have a chat with?
As always Ginger asked a very good
question.
Love this question.
Honestly yes!!!! I’ve exchanged emails, tweets, and chatted on Facebook
with authors I’ve admired, and I’ve even met a few. How I went about that? Blogging about books makes it super easy to interact with authors. And praise
the powers that be for the internet, seriously what would I do without that? Websites make it easy email an author who loves to hear about how much you enjoyed
their books.
Shelly Laurenston (I swear I talk about her in every
post) I think I might a little crush on her. When I first started to read
her books I quickly sent off an email saying how much I LOVED her books and I
do. Every last one of them, there isn’t a book of hers that I didn’t enjoy.
Facebook and twitter are a great way to interact with authors. The
amazing Jennifer
Laurens who
wrote the Heavenly series is seriously sweet and super nice to fans.
To meet authors are who I would go fangirl for, forget singers and
actors. In my world authors are a big deal. It’s an amazing feeling I get when
I contact an author and I get a reply.
LM Preston, isn’t s well known as some other authors but she super nice and
approachable. We’ve exchanged some emails when she sent me her book Bandits to
review and she did a guest post on The Bo0ki3 (click here for review). Recently I’ve had the pleasure of
meeting her at BEA and she was wonderful. It was a brief chat but the next day she
contacted me on Facebook and we talked for a while and before signing off she
told me to drop her a line anytime she was online.
