T.G.I.F (33)
TGIF is a fun little feature
hosted by Ginger @ GReads! Every week we re-cap what has happened on the blog plus
Ginger asks a question for us to answer. This week’ question is: Reading Blues: We all get them from time to time. What helps you overcome
those reading slumps when nothing seems to grab your attention?
As always Ginger asked a very good
question.
This happens to me once almost every two months. When nothing new makes
me wants to stick with it all of the way through, I go back and reread a few of
my favorites books. That always does the trick for me. I might reread a whole
series or just one book that I really, really love but that always gets the job
done. Maybe I might even watch a movie or play a video game. But the book thing
works, for me at least.
Here are a few books that I always
reread.
Big Bad Beast (Pride #6) by Shelly Laurenston
The Percy Jackson and the Olympian series by Rick Riordan
The Mythos Academy series by Jennifer Estep
Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones
The Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews

I've been seeing that people re-read alot. I guess I'm rare in that I barely ever re-read books. Maybe I should start trying that when I hit a slump!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried rereading my favourites when I get into a slump! I tend to pick up adult novels, as they're ones that I rarely read due to my blog focussing on YA. I might have to give rereading a go in couple of months, then! Oh, and I get into reading slumps every other month, I'm surprised that I'm not the only one with a pattern!

Re-reading is so hard for me. And watching movies again. Once I know the end I can't read it again. But this is a common theme now. Maybe...???
